Hey thanks for the comment you left on my guestbook! I've enjoyed your site a lot since I found it and was glad to see the new layout you got. You really got a second wind cuz I've been getting rss updates non-stop lol. Was gonna say this in an email but in your web button section you actually have my button twice. I assume you copy stuff from the WOTI listing, but I joined under a diff domain "weebles.husbandoism.life" (and diff layout) and got that changed on the webring later on.
As a reply to the Hikaru review: Plz don't refer to it as a BL!! Yes Yoshiki is gay, but the story is more about him being gay in a small town and his crush and only comfort being possessed by a monster. It's not intended as a genuine romance in the same way Madoka Magica isn't a GL romance.
I do agree that they could make the town more on edge and play a lot more into the creepy unsettling atmosphere. It would also be nice if it stayed Yoshiki trying to hide Hikaru while the other dude does the ghost hunting, but now everyone's involved with that.
As far as stuff having consequences like... kinda? Old lady matsuura was a crazy hermit lady so outside of getting the men to call in an exorcist didn't really matter to the town. Yoshiki and Hikaru only played hooky twice and Yoshiki's parents don't care about that sort of thing and have a very distant relationship in general.
Yesss, I had a month of free time between my language classes and went nuts lmao. Got it, I removed your old site! I check my button wall by hand so it's not always perfectly up to date, and yes I check when woti updates with a new batch to find some cool sites indeed. Some I find myself though 😤!!!!
Ah you're right, I know the BL genre should really only be reserved for mangas published in BL magazines. I respect that this manga is genre breaking, and I hope it'll become a bigger trend.
Yea agreed, I wish the whole creepy atmosphere was handled differently! I feel like it's is trying to be too many things at once maybe, and it ends up diluting itself.
>Most intriguing...

Hello, I created a site to collect all the art in an obscure art series called "Canterlot Royal Ballet Academy" by Taiwanese-Japanese artist AVCHonline. I first found the series in early 2024, and had deeply spiritual experience with it that led me to become obsessed with it. It's ostensibly an MLP fan series, however I view as its original world with different characters (that are mlp in name only) and atmosphere that I consider to be fully separate. I'm not fan of MLP and MLP doesn't come to mind when thinking about CRBA.

Thank you thank you!! Likewise, I really enjoy your reviews too :-DD
Godd i related to your hikaru review so much, especially this line:
"I feel like the stakes in these stories never feel truly high, the emotions I'm supposed to feel never hit me hard, and I can never get fully invested - YET the way people speak about it makes it sounds like there's a lot more to it than what I end up receiving."
Thats how i feel about the past decade of anime/manga so much omfg. the only exception i can think of is land of the lustrous? like i wonder if im just aging out of this interest or if the state of things really do just suck lmao...
YESSSS. That's the thing for me, I can't say I totally grew out of it because every now and then I'll be hit with something that makes me FEEL. But I would definitely say people overhype certain shows way too much. When it comes to shonen, I already know what I don't like so I don't fall for the bait. However when it comes to works made by women/for women I tend to want to give them a chance more often than not, and I accidentally find myself trusting a 12 year olds judgement. At 12 I thought Code Geass was lifechanging...
Now that I thought about it a bit more I have a weird theory, the reason why I encounter this issue in bl especially (and women made gl too, forgot to mention in my review) is because the fans of those genres feel like their favourite works never get enough attention due to them being bl/gl and they tend to talk up their value and pretend like they're more good than what they really are. Like they just slightly oversell it? In reality, the world is full of mid and shitty bl/gl because... that's just how averages work! And in the case of hikanatsu I think the fact that the bl is more of an undertone manga fans could oversell it even higher because normies wouldn't be as disturbed by the gayness as much.......... Ok I'm just tinfoiling too hard atp, people might just have lower standards and different tastes xddd
i've always rly liked this site - went through it again and discovered the things page (was it always there?) nonetheless, i love when ppl show their stuff... idk what that says ab me lol, but the whole vibe of ur site is so refreshing :)
