Sorry for the wall of text, but I appreciate a critique and I like a chance to sperg out haha.

Before I address anything and excitedly scour through my diary archives, I want you to know I am a hypocrite to some extent like any other human being, and my diary is full of my negative and unsightly thoughts. I can be very bitter and dumb, and after all I've been writing in it for 5 years so maybe it doesn't even reflect my current views lmfao. I would like to think I matured since I started writing it.

I don't even remember in how much detail I went with some of these stories I've shared, but I don't think I ever tried to give the impression that I'm personally against marriage as a whole (or that I'm better than that) and that I'm a le based female separatist when I am clearly not LMAO. The women that I happen to mention in my diary entries shook me to the core with some of their choices or circumstances (out of their control), because a lot of the times they jump into marriage with men that are complete strangers to them or whatever. For example one of the girls I remember talking about was born into a family that didn't let her exit out of the house except for school, and the moment she was done with high school she got married off to a ghoul that was a decade older and gave birth to 3 kids immediately.......... Am I insane to think that I am in a more favorable position here xd? The other women that I didn't pity but criticized I mostly did so because they were women that shared my ideals, but they chose to marry into very conservative families and then chose to follow their traditions to not disturb the peace. I'm not shitting on them for getting married, but for succumbing to and perpetuating outdated practices. I don't think I'm being hypocritical here because in my social life I always do stand up for what I believe in, and I voice my opinion to my peers, and even some of the people I talked about here. Can't stand up for myself for shit in most other contexts though...

Maybe to you the act of getting married to a filthy m*le equals all of these things I mentioned, so in your eyes that makes me a stupid retarded hypocrite that's throwing stones from a glass house, which yea sure, you're not crazy for thinking that way lmao. I want you to know I have a good support system and I took many precautions, if my husband ever decides to do a 180, and I think ANYONE getting married should do that because getting married is a contract first and foremost... Nothing will stop me from being judgmental though, especially towards overly religious and anti-female behaviors.

Oh and also, I really write about mostly negative stuff in my diary. I do know a lot of happy relationships even in the Balkans and among my peers especially, but I don't mention it because.... idk it's mundane and I write to let off steam mostly. I don't think I got lucky with a foreign male because he's foreign.

Yesss, I had a month of free time between my language classes and went nuts lmao. Got it, I removed your old site! I check my button wall by hand so it's not always perfectly up to date, and yes I check when woti updates with a new batch to find some cool sites indeed. Some I find myself though 😤!!!!

Ah you're right, I know the BL genre should really only be reserved for mangas published in BL magazines. I respect that this manga is genre breaking, and I hope it'll become a bigger trend.

Yea agreed, I wish the whole creepy atmosphere was handled differently! I feel like it's is trying to be too many things at once maybe, and it ends up diluting itself.

YESSSS. That's the thing for me, I can't say I totally grew out of it because every now and then I'll be hit with something that makes me FEEL. But I would definitely say people overhype certain shows way too much. When it comes to shonen, I already know what I don't like so I don't fall for the bait. However when it comes to works made by women/for women I tend to want to give them a chance more often than not, and I accidentally find myself trusting a 12 year olds judgement. At 12 I thought Code Geass was lifechanging...
Now that I thought about it a bit more I have a weird theory, the reason why I encounter this issue in bl especially (and women made gl too, forgot to mention in my review) is because the fans of those genres feel like their favourite works never get enough attention due to them being bl/gl and they tend to talk up their value and pretend like they're more good than what they really are. Like they just slightly oversell it? In reality, the world is full of mid and shitty bl/gl because... that's just how averages work! And in the case of hikanatsu I think the fact that the bl is more of an undertone manga fans could oversell it even higher because normies wouldn't be as disturbed by the gayness as much.......... Ok I'm just tinfoiling too hard atp, people might just have lower standards and different tastes xddd
