Ranking the top players in my server

...And why I think the top players are bots!

There's a lot of servers in this game, and I am in one of the middle ones by age, closer to the old servers than new maybe. That means a lot of players that started playing when I did have now quit, and I rose up the ranks pretty high by virtue of being a daily player and a dolphin. I'm rank 17. Since I started playing, the top 3 spots in my server have been taken by the same people (I'm pretty sure). Every once in a while, I scroll through all of their profiles to see what they're wearing.

One feature I really wish was pushed and developed more in this game would be profiles. It's never explicitly stated what affects the background that other players see when they click on "view info" to see your character, which is actually not the background you put on your panel, rather it's the background you put in your wardrobe. Rather counterintuitive don't you think?

Each time I go through their profiles I notice the same issues, and I decided to be a mean girl, put on my LM fashion police hat and critique each of them, from their style to the way they play the game!!! Don't take me too seriously though...

My criteria are based on how much do these players actually utilize the tools the game provides you, do they use dyes, do they mix and match items from different sets, their makeup skills and their char customization skills, are they able to present a good and cohesive theme, and lastly, my subjective opinion.

1.

To the untrained eye, this probably looks cute and elaborate, or too gaudy, depending on your gachashit tolerance. Either way, I'm here to tell you why it's complete SHIT. One of the most lazy things you can do in this game is equip a whole set and call it a day. And this is exactly what the number 1 ranked player in this server did. LAZY. UNINSPIRED. Imagine spending thousands of dollars on a game and then not doing ANYTHING creative with that money. Not even bothering to dye the pieces. The next sin is they have a default character. Hardly changed anything, it's just the template girl model you get. I rank this player a bot/10. They're also incredibly inactive in every other social realm of the game, adding onto my bot theory...

2.

This player has consistently won fashion battle since I started playing, meaning they spend tooooooons of money, not just on getting full sets, but also on dying all of their sets to stay competitive in fashion battle. And yet, whenever I look at their fits it begs the question - where are the dyes? Ok, I'll give them points for a slightly changed up character model and a pretty face but they're wearing a lame login set along with a default dye endorsement queen coat piece, and flowers that match absolutely nothing. Curious... To give them some slack, a lot of players apparently like putting their characters in incredibly casual clothes as their default clothes, and I never fully understood why. Also they do seem to be active on fashion diary, with a small but existing amount of decent minus fits at least. Because they seem like an alive player, I'm ranking them 4/10.

3rd top player in the server, and they're actually showing off a mix of 6 star items, ok finally! However, besides the wings and from what I can tell, nothing is dyed and everything is using default dyes. I also think they're using a preset model once again. I rank them 4/10. I expected more!

Watch and learn, top 3 LOSERS, this is how you do it... I love everything about this player. She has a consistent aesthetic, and very cute characters. They feel like actual characters with a personality! She even matched the background with her adorable fall fit, and I believe she uploads her outfits consistently to the gallery. AND she's actually using dyes. 10/10 across the board!!!

Well, the outfit itself is not my style but at least they're dying stuff and are not using a default model. Any LM enthusiast knows that background doesn't have good default lighting though, and should definitely not be used as a bg that showcases your character because it kinda washes things out... 5/10!

A bit... puzzling. It looks like an unfinished fit that they saved as their default. At least the model is custom. The background choice is bad as well. 3/10

I always disliked this dress, but that's besides the point. The fit is actually a well thought out dyed fit that follows a theme, and the background goes well with it. I also really like their model. 7.5/10!

I really like this outfit!!! I always wanted to make those pants work, and I think it's executed well by this player! Dyes, good mix and match and a REALLY cute model. The bg is white but that's alright, it's a standard bg with good lighting (tad too bright but what can you do). It's rare to see fun casual fits. 9/10!!!

Ok their model is just a bit too regular for my taste, but I don't think it's a default one. The color scheme is consistent, and I applaud the fact they mixed fantasy stuff with a casual skirt and top and made it work. I don't like that shade of green for the hair but it goes along with this nature/deer theme I guess. Since it's more fantasy I wish they had used a different bg, even the plain black one would add more to the vibe! 7/10!

I have a strong feeling that this is a cosplay of something... At first I thought Gyokuyou from Apothecary Diaries but the face doesn't match so I'm not sure. It's a shame the dress isn't dyed almost at all but the theme is there so nice work to this player. Not my style though so 6/10.

Applauding them for being the first player with slightly thicker thighs on this list. But the outfit is overly simplistic, and not dyed! I can't help but wonder why... 3.5/10.

Consistent theme, colour scheme and a custom girl model all while using so many pieces from different sets. 8/10!!

13. A travesty. Hardly changed default model, a 4 star set that hasn't even been dyed with a randomass green necklace. Using one of the fugliest hairs in the game. I think this character has been dressed by a toddler. It just looks like stuff toddlers would like. Smells BOTTY. 2/10.

14.

Sometimes people will take the already bug eyed default models, and make them even more bug eyed.... At least they seem to be going with a fairy theme... judging by the hair, ears and makeup but it seems to me like they started making an outfit over a pre-existing outfit, saved and then forgot to change it back. The super long sleeves over this sporty shirt + vest combo are certainly a choice. 5/10 for the craziness that's going on here.

15.

There's a couple of things that bother me in this outfit. It uses items from different sets, that's a plus. However, the dress and the big coat piece are in default dyes, why? I think the color of the hair brings down the vibe of the set for some reason, maybe because it completely blends with the background. A lot of potential in this one. 6/10.

16.

Sometimes, the default dyes of a dress are really worth using, and in this set I believe it pays off perfectly. They paired it with dyed accessories and I like the little bow detail on the pigtails. I don't usually like when fits have random mascots flying around, but this is a bg + fit where cinnamoroll fits in just fine. PLUS the makeup matches the fit and the character is really cute and happy looking, which adds to the whole atmosphere. 9.5/10!!!

17.

Wait, I'm... ranking myself??? OK!!! This is one of my more boring/casual fits, but hear me out! I wanted to go for a millennial 2014 tumblr goth vibe, and I think I did well... On a sheer objective LM skill level I'm one of the handful of players on this list to use an unlocked black dye on the dress, fully unlocked dyes on the hair with a custom black, have a themed fit that fits the bg, and makeup that completely fits the outfit. I rank myself in the top 3, very confidently!!!
